How much information should you include in your email body?

Many people think that the longer the mail body, the more would be the chances of getting a conversion. You need to understand that these days; people are not interested in a longer email body. They need to get the information pretty quickly. If the email body which you are using is pretty long, most of the people would not even be reading those emails. That is why your efforts would be going to waste. When you’re buying expensive leads like health insurance leads or car insurance leads, it is important for you to make sure that most of those leads read the email which you are sending them. In order to do so, you have to keep the emails on the shorter side. When it comes to deciding on the length of the main body, you have to keep a few factors in mind which we would mention below.

1. Mobile traffic:

Most of the people open their emails on the mobile phones. That is why the screen is even smaller. Owing to this very reason, you have to make sure that the content is less than 150 to 200 words. Only when it is less than that, you can be sure that they would be able to reach at the bottom of the email and would be able to click on the call to action. That is why you have to always make sure that the email body is on the smaller side.

2. Using the resizable images:


You need to make sure that the pictures which you are using can be resized according to the device from which the email is being read as well. When the picture is too big or when the picture is a large rectangle, it becomes very difficult for most of the email clients to resize them. That is why you have to keep in mind the size of the images and after that take a call on the size of the email as well as the pictures in the email.

So, whenever you are looking at the size of the email body, it is best to keep it under 200 words. Also, if you’re using any kind of images as well, it is important to use smaller images which are of HD quality as well. This would ensure that they can be opened up on the smartphones as well which can significantly increase the conversion rate which you are getting to your email marketing campaign.
